Who we are
The Black Beat Duo - BIO
A historic musical group formed in 1994, returns live to music clubs. After a few years of absence from the scene due to COVID-19, the two founders, Marina (vocals) and Sergio (guitar and computer programming), are back with live performances. The multifaceted artists return live with their captivating and never intrusive sound, which characterizes their originality. The international repertoire is very vast (ranging from The Beatles to Adele) and consists of selected songs from the past, present, and future. Marina and Sergio give a lot of space to soul, pop, rock, funky, blues, rhythm and blues, jazz, and acoustic music, through a careful selection of covers by Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Anastacia, Tuck & Patti, Prince, The Police, Sting, The Bee Gees, Eurythmics, Michael Jackson, Michael Bublé, Simply Red, Depeche Mode, etc., taking care of the atmospheres and sounds with original and very pleasant arrangements.
The pieces are performed with musical bases to create through the art using various sounds, a live band dimension is created, where a more engaging evening is required, and in an acoustic version (guitar and voice) in order to entertain the listener in a discreet and refined manner. They are currently also engaged in a recording studio working on their original project in Italian and English called The Curls.
